The Experiment – Balkan Wheel of Life
Dance To the Rhythm Of the Lottery Drum
Unfortunately, nothing is ever drawn out of this drum. Nobody wins anything here and not losing is the jackpot prize. That doesn’t happen, as a rule, and even those who organize the lottery lose, it’s just that they are not aware of that. The only way to avoid losing is not to be a part of the game since the drum is worse than a lose-lose situation, and only those who get in the game and get lucky in that maelstrom will be the ones to regret it. Isn’t drawing the prize the highlight of the very game, and is there a bigger prize in life than finding the right path?
The experiment shows that the participants are constantly following their paths but there’s no regular exit for the ones inside. As a line of a popular song says “The system is lying to you“, for it’s all arranged for us “to dance to the rhythm of the drum“. To finish this experiment we would have to decide if we really want it or we like our lives being a lottery. Of course, it’s not easy when we are in the drum and only focusing on how to keep standing. It would be a real wonder to make the right decision while our heads are spinning. Sit on it for a while is an old saying used when one is in two minds about something, Those who thought of this game with the drum came up with another motto – walk or die. Then the drum started spinning and everyone was walking as fast as they could to avoid death and that’s a trap – the more you run from it the closer it gets.
What are the odds to show the opposite in this experiment? If it’s a well-known fact that the drum has not been made to roll but to spin, and that death is anyway ahead of us all, than it’s crazy to even think that running inside the drum will get us somewhere faster, let alone help us run away.
The game is directed in such a way that people see entering the drum as a kind of salvation since the conditions outside are unnatural. The building this scene is set in, where we’ll play our life roles, is called The Parliament Building and has grandiose sculptures in front. They clearly show that horses have been riding people, and that’s certainly a message to those left outside to wait and see what will become of them. The great artist, sculpting these a long time ago, expressed his view of the parliament as of a circus where the main act is riding the people. It’s different on paper since parliament is the House of the People and MPs express the will of the people, the very same people who put them there as their own best representatives. However, something wrong has been going on there, as if the archfiend himself presides inside that building coming up with new ordeals for the people.
How to explain, otherwise, that under this canopy of sky it’s getting as hot as hell, that the air we breathe, our water and food have been poisoned, that we live lives of lab rats? The drum experiment shows that people, when in the drum, behave in the same way as lab rats. One thing is for sure, there’s no exit from the drum for either of them as long as the one behind the experiment wills it, and his will is the law and not the common one but the law of the strongest, which is why they call him the archfiend.
The objective of this experiment is to make the ones sitting in the House of the People come to their senses and give up the archfiend for it’s not human to leave stinking footprints since the descendants will walk the same path. We shouldn’t let the lottery become the sense of our lives and the drum decide on everything.
