Albert Tinnerman created the mechanical assembly invention of “Speed Nuts” over 100 years ago. This innovation revolutionized assembly lines in the automotive and aircraft industries.

Tinnerman would go on to partner with Henry Ford to help develop Ford Motor Company’s manufacturing plants. In the 1940’s the United States government adopted “Speed Nuts” to assemble aircraft during WWIl to significantly reduce the weight of the aircraft while cutting production time in half.
